The Little Bio That Could

Souvenir is the indie electronic pop project of 21 year old singer/songwriter Michael Fenuccio, with production by collaborator Andrew Novoa. Born and raised on Cape Cod, MA, Michael has been singing and performing since his earliest days. Growing up, he was raised on music from The Eagles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Shania Twain, and of course, early 2000's bubblegum pop. His creative outlets included songwriting, musical theater, and various instrument lessons. In 2014, he began studying music business, songwriting, and contemporary voice at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami as part of the Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music Songwriting Program. Here is where he met producer/collaborator Andrew Novoa. Together, they explored various different sounds before finally birthing the Souvenir we know and love today.

Souvenir's music demonstrates smooth, powerful vocals, youthful and nostalgic lyrics, and lush, exciting neo-80's pop production. As a gay artist, Michael draws inspiration from acts like Troye Sivan and Years & Years, while also providing his own unique perspective and sound. He hopes to someday become a strong voice for the LGBTQ community within the mainstream pop industry, both as an artist and a songwriter. His first EP, a 6-track debut entitled "NEON DREAM," was released on June 23, 2017.

Following the EP's release, Fenuccio and Novoa put together a 6-piece band with fellow Frost School musicians to bring Souvenir's music to life on stage. Combining revamped versions of the EP tracks, with new originals and reimagined pop covers, the group created a dynamic, high energy set, playing well known venues in Miami such as Gramps Bar in Wynwood and Open Stage Club in Coral Gables.

Today, the bandmates have all graduated from The University of Miami and continue to collaborate despite being hundreds of miles apart. The follow up single to the NEON DREAM EP, titled "IDWLY" ("I Don't Wanna Love You") was released on September 20th, 2018 and was featured in the short film BINGE, starring Brandon Flynn and Alisha Boe. Michael currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he is pursuing a career in pop music.
